Searsport Maine 04974 Website Phone: 207-548-2529 The Penobscot Bay Marine Museum, Maine's Oldest Maritime Museum, was founded in 1936 by descendants of Searsport sea captain families. The original building was Old Town Hall, built in 1845 and given to the Museum by the town of Searsport to display its initial collection. Over the years, the museum has grown to encompass a total of 13 buildings, eight of which are on the National Historic Register. |
