Little Cranberry Island 2010 Labor Day Workshop Overflows -Second Session Announced! (Isleford, ME) Henry Isaacs, co-faculty Ashley Bryan and Susan van Campen, are excited by the early enrollment for their plein-air workshop, September 3rd through 5th, 2010. In response, they’ve added a second session which will take place September 8th through 10th. There are still a few spots left for the 1st Labor Day session and registration is now being accepted for the second session.
What Henry and Ashley created last year was unusual for any painting workshop. Hosted by Dan and Cynthia Lief of the Islesford Dock Gallery, the workshop runs a full three days on this quiet island. The breaks in the days and evenings are wonderful meals provided by the Islesford Dock Restaurant. This restaurant has earned an international reputation for its menu. Participants share serious food and great conversation overlooking Acadia National Park in one of Maine’s most stunning settings.
It’s the spirit of teaching to which people are responding. Beginning students, and mid-career artists explore and work side by side in a non-competitive atmosphere. Henry teaches from his own enthusiasm for the landscape, reflected in forty plus years as an artist and college teacher. Henry, Ashley and Susan demonstrate a passion for painting that they love to share. The exuberance seen in their painting translates to their teaching and through their lives in this island community. For information on Henry Isaacs, please visit www.henryisaacs.com.
