Photographer Discusses Images from His “Seeking Wisdom” Series(Rockland, ME) Carver Hill Gallery, is pleased to host an artist's talk with Photographer Jon Kolkin on Wednesday, July 11th from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. "Seeking Wisdom… Impressions from Bhutan and Buddhist Philosophy" is Jon's newest series. A six week trip to Bhutan, the only Buddhist Kingdom in the world, inspired this body of work. The series is intended to stimulate a dialogue about the complex interplay of factors that influence our thought process while drawing attention to the importance of striving to achieve a higher level of intellect, i.e. wisdom. Jon's work tends to focus on social topics that invite dialogue, understanding and mutual respect between people with different points of view.
