At Flowers Gallery in New York Opening on June 21st(Brooks, ME) Maine figurative sculptor Kimberly Callas invites you to view her artwork,The Beekeeper's Wife, at the summer exhibition at Flowers Gallery in NYC. Though a classically trained figurative sculptor, Callas works in the tradition of indigenous cultures, using art as “sacred object” and gathering her materials from the earth. In The Beekeeper's Wife, Callas uses wasp paper, wood, and the human figure to consider our mystical relationship with nature. (Image: "The Beekeeper's Wife" by Kimberly Callas.
