Group Show “Organic Observations” Features Ten Artists(Camden, ME) Old Salts Gallery of Camden opens the month of February with a group show featuring contemporary artists working in a variety of mediums. Please join us for a reception at 25 Mechanic Street on the corner of Mechanic and Washington Streets on Saturday February 4th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. The exhibit continues through February 29th. (Image: " Prospect Hill Blueberry Barren" by Nancy Desmond) “Organic Observations” will showcase landscape paintings by Joan Freiman and Nancy Desmond, photography by Shelagh Delphyne, metal sculpture by John Tyler Pope and Nate Nicholls, woodwork by Richard Achambault and Reuben J. Little, jewelry by Judy Babin and Kate Bauman, and ceramics by Jonathan Mess. Old Salts Gallery is dedicated to the idea that art is as important an aspect of our community as the small businesses that employ us, the nature that surrounds us and the ways of Maine life that have survived throughout the centuries. The owners are committed to creating a place where art is self-sustaining. Old Salts Gallery takes a very modest commission for operating and the artists are able to garner a maximum profit, allowing their art to be their livelihood, as it should be. The gallery is also available for booking small events, especially community or charity events, free of charge. Old Salts Gallery, located at 25 Mechanic Street at the corner of Washington Street in Camden, is sponsored by Markham & Read Law firm of Boston, Massachusetts and Camden, Maine.
