The Gallery Will Host a First Friday Event on January 6 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.(Peaks Island, ME) Open Studio at Richard Boyd Art Gallery will feature ceramic art and pottery by Rick Boyd and Pamela Williamson. Although Richard Boyd Art Gallery is closed during the month of January for renovations, Rick is opening the second floor working studio to the public for first Friday art walk from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and by appointment during the entire month. The gallery will officially reopen in February. (Image: Ceramics by Rick Boyd and Pamela Williamson) The partnership of Boyd and Williamson has developed into a unique collaboration between potter and glazer. Rick is somewhat colorblind and Pamela by her own admission is wheel challenged. They feel one needs a level of trust to develop a working relationship with egos set aside. Rick creates the forms, and Pamela the glazes. Each one of a kind piece is a collaboration between artists and is collected for its classic lines and unique glazes created in the studio on Peaks Island. Richard Boyd Art Gallery and studio are located on Peaks Island at the corners of Island Avenue and Epps Street in the first building on the right. The gallery exhibits one of a kind ceramic art, pottery, paintings and blown glass by established and up and coming artists. An art studio producing hand made art with a focus on ceramic art and pottery is located on the second floor. For more information, please contact Pamela at the gallery by phone at 207-712-1097, via email at williamson955@aol.com or visit www.richardboydpottery.com. |
