"The Stolen Ninety-Nine"(Rockport, ME) An art exhibit featuring works from Camden-based photographer Jim Nickelson as well as the students at Peopleplace Cooperative Preschool will be on display at the Rockport Public Library through April 30th. For this project, Nickelson photographed images of the objects and space that the students at Peopleplace interact with on a daily basis. Nickelson’s photographic essay was inspired by from the Reggio Emilia concept of the hundred languages of children. Peopleplace students created paintings inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s Calla Lily painting as well as sculptures based on Louise Nevelson’s work for their exhibit. (Image: "Alphabet" by Jim Nickelson)
