On Thursday, February 4th at 7:00 pm.(Portland, ME) One of the most exciting groups to emerge on the world music scene in recent years, the two-time Grammy Award-winning Soweto Gospel Choir weaves a glorious vocal tapestry, sharing powerful songs of praise and remembrance ranging from traditional South African folk songs to contemporary gospel raves. Expect earthy rhythms, rich harmonies, pulsating percussion, and a cappella gems. Add to this energetic dancing and vibrant, colorful costumes and the result is a spectacular celebration of the human spirit.
