At Bowdoin College Museum of Art Through June 1stIn the period between 1400 and 1700, European artists developed and perfected a variety of printmaking techniques, ranging from woodcuts to engravings and etchings. This exhibit is curated by the students of Bowdoin's Art History course, “The Early Modern Printed Image”, and draws upon the significant holdings of the college's museum collection. Displayed are masterworks by such celebrated artists as Albrecht Dürer, Jacques Callot, and Rembrandt van Rijn. >visit the museum's website for more information |
