(Augusta, ME) The Maine Arts Commission will once again be among the partners who will work with Midcoast Magnet to present a super-regional creative economy conference that will attract over 800 attendees to Midcoast Maine this November. Business leaders, policy makers, entrepreneurs, artists and innovators will come together to connect, collaborate, and create opportunities for economic expansion at Juice 3.0 “Celebrating Risk”. The conference takes place at the Camden Opera House on November 4 and 5, 2011 and will feature an array of events, competitions, professional speeches, workshops and networking opportunities for all. Juice 3.0 will start with stories that celebrate risk and will result in important collaborations and connections that lead to innovation and creation. Midcoast Magnet Board Present, Amber Heffner, insists that risk is an important topic as the country struggles to emerge from recession. “These are not the times to place it safe,” said Heffner. “Entrepreneurs take risks and artists take risks. Policy-makers need to embrace the challenge of encouraging innovation.” Juice 3.0 will explore many kinds of risks: creative, financial, career, technological, organizational, political and environmental. The event will celebrate successes and failures and look for opportunities to encourage smart economic development. Juice 3.0 will feature over 80 speakers from among state and international leaders in a cross section of industries, brought together to energize, educate and motivate conference attendees. Juice 3.0 will start with stories that celebrate risk and will result in important collaborations and connections that lead to innovation and creation.
