(Image: Painting by Nancy Proctor Perkins) (Seguin Island) Friends of Seguin Lighthouse announces its first annual Seguin Island Art Exhibit. The show will be held on the island, within the walls of Maine’s tallest and second oldest lighthouse. Come to Midcoast Maine, bring your paints, pastels and cameras. Have a summer adventure, create and exhibit your artwork. You will have the opportunity to sell your work while helping to celebrate and preserve the lighthouse, an historic gem. Please register by July 15th. Artists will receive 70% of the sale price (75% for Friends of Seguin members). All works are to be of Seguin and can either be created on the island or from your photographs. There will be an exhibit opening on Saturday, August 4th (rain date is Sunday, August 5th). The exhibit will run through September 15th, the 4th Annual Maine Open Lighthouse Day. Please see more details at www.seguinislandart.org. |
