(Waterville, ME) Defining Heroism: Part Two. Directed by Eric Thomas. On Saturday, April 9th at 7:30 pm in Colby's Lorimer Chapel. As artists we are at times charged with providing behavioral models to audiences. How do we tell our stories and impart morality? Who do you aspire to imitate: those who fight for social justice, the rugged individual, the mediator, the spiritual leader, or, perhaps, the artist? Are these heroes? Pieces include: “Mutations from Bach” by Samuel Barber, “Coyote Dances” by William Campbell, “Ghost Train” by Eric Whitacre, “Bloom” by Marti Epstein, “Yiddish Dances” by Adam Gorb, and Joel Puckett’s “Ping, Pang, Pong.” For more information, please click here. |
