(Portland, ME) A candle, a key, and a longing for spring on a cold Christmas eve … the lives of struggling artists in Paris are high-spirited, but ultimately as fragile as a dying flame. This is their story. The music of Puccini’s La Bohème is among the most beautiful ever composed for the stage. One of Europe’s preeminent touring opera companies, Teatro Lirico d’Europa returns to Portland with a stylish and moving version of this classic story.
