Maine Art Scene, LLC. is organizing its first statewide online exhibit of contemporary fine art photographers. This is not a juried exhibition but rather an opportunity for Maine's photographers to showcase their work online.

This online exhibit will be available to view online on October 15th and will become part of Maine Art Scene's permanent fine art exhibit.

Deadline for submissions extended: September 20, 2008.


Open to:
All FINE ART photographers (no commercial, fashion or wedding work please) who are part-time or full-time Maine residents.

Cost of submission: $15.00 per entry (pay online) or send a check (*)

Entry format:
- Digital format only (JPG/JPEG, TIF/TIFF)
- Files must be at least 72 dpi
- Vertical: maximum 768 pixels tall
- Horizontal: maximum 1024 pixels wide
- Black & white, sepia, color, hand-colored, manipulated
- Submit only three images (recent or not)

Each photo must be named as follows:
lastname_firstname_picture#.jpeg or .tiff (for instance smith_john_1.jpeg)

Photography description:

Title of image, location, date, film/digital, camera type (optional)

If your work is for sale, please indicate:

Size, print/development process, framed/not framed, price, and how to contact you or your gallery (phone and e-mail)

In addition, please include:

- A short artist's statement
- A picture of yourself (optional)
- Your photography experience (how many years)
- Contact information (mailing address, phone and e-mail)
- Website or gallery information
Maine Art Scene retains the right to not publish work that could be deemed inappropriate or does not meet the above basic requirements.
