September 10th through October 12th at the Ogunquit Playhouse.

Based on Victor Hugo's novel set in 19th century France, Jean Valjean is released from 19 years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a life-long struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways.

Winner of eight Tony® Awards, including Best Musical, Les Misérables has thrilled audiences all over the world, having been seen by over 54 million people in 38 countries and 21 languages since its first London performance in October 1985. It is its powerful affirmation of the human spirit that has made Les Misérables a popular masterpiece, often called the greatest musical of all time

The Ogunquit Playhouse’s star-studded production will feature Andrea McArdle, recreating her Broadway role of Fantine, Boston-area performers Ryan Landry, and Mary Callanan, and Alexis Kalehoff.

For more information on tickets and show times, visit the Ogunquit Playhouse website.
