April 30 through May 10, 2009. "Crimes of the Heart" takes place in the small, Deep South town of Hazelhurtz, Mississippi. As the play opens, one sister celebrates her birthday alone as her baby sister sits in jail, charged with shooting her husband, and wonders at the fate of her other sister -whereabouts unknown. The sisters reunite in the midst of strife and must learn to cope with a hurricane of conflict, adversity, and crisis. If they're going to survive they need to find strength from within themselves, from each other, and from the healing power of laughter. For more information, visit the Belfast Maskers website.
