Penobscot Bay Singers - Maine Midcoast Choral in its 38th Season
PBS is a 501(c)(3) organization. If you wish an acknowledgement of your donation for tax purposes, please e-mail: PenBaySingers@gmail.com Persons interested in auditioning for our Spring concert may e-mail Rick at: rmdostie@myfairpoint.net.
Christmas 2011 Concerts: Scheduled for Dec. 9, 10 and 11 (in Belfast and Searsport). Spring 2012 Concerts: "Americana". Scheduled for March 31, April 1, 2012. (in Belfast) Pop Concerts 2012: June 8 & 9, 2012 (in Belfast) Additional concert details will be posted when available. You can also e-mail PenBaySingers@gmail.com for more information.
The Penobscot Bay Singers, now in their 38th season, draw their membership from all over Waldo County and occasionally beyond. They offer three concerts each year: two classical/liturgical and a pops concert. While member dues and concert income help defray the costs of good direction and accompaniment and some music, it is not enough to support the use of other instrumentalists, such as the harpist and oboeist featured in the Christmas concerts in 2010 or new music. To support such music, donations are welcome. The Singers are a 501(c)(3) organization. For more information, write PBS, PO Box 5, Belfast, Maine, 04915.
There is no admission charge for any of the performances, however a $12 donation is suggested. The Penobscot Bay Singers, now in their 38th season, are directed by Richard Dostie of Fairfield and accompanied by Linnea Johnson of Belfast. The group rehearses in Belfast and presents three concerts a year. PBS is a not-for-profit organization supported through member dues, concert revenues and the support of friends. For more information, please write to the Penobscot Bay Singers, PO Box 5, Belfast, Maine 04915.
