Celebrating the Transformational Power of Light
"Duetto" is a series of one-of-a-kind lamps that were created from vintage, used, and salvaged lamps and shades. These unique works, by noted Maine artists Alan Fishman and Marcie J. Bronstein, celebrate the transformational power of light: When illuminated, each shade glows and radiates, revealing unanticipated images, shapes, and colors. Both sculptural and painterly, these distinctive three-dimensional collages add beauty, grace, and magic to any room. (Image: "Earth, Sea, Sky" by Marcie Jan Bronstein and Alan Fishman)

Duetto evolved from an idea that was born in anticipation of the cold Maine winter: to work together, to work with light, to create lamps both sculptural and painterly, to be absolutely playful in a realm that had elements of unpredictability. Currently, a number of the lamps can be seen at Carver Hill Gallery in Rockport, Maine.
