As part of the Pop the Cork! celebration in Rockport, Meredith Alex and her Madgirl Designs premiered a new collection of art to wear sculptural dresses inspired by wine (Grape-Vine-Leaf-Bottle-Cork-Label) called "The Vineyard in Vogue". Madgirl designs provides a unique fusion of fashion, sculpture and performance art. An experience not to miss!

Meredith Alex was featured in a design profile last September in the Portland Press Herald, was a semi-finalist out of thousands of applicants for the television show “Project Runway", and has also shown her work at SO RE FA, a national exhibition of socially responsible fashion in Philadelphia. Her designs, made of natural and recycled materials, include dresses made of birch bark, reused industrial fabrics and fasteners, recycled rock concert t-shirts and discarded paint swatches.

Her MADgirl “wearable street fashions,” made from re-worked vintage clothing, are geared to the general public and “the fun-loving sprites inside all of us”.
