Programs Start in June and Run Through the Fall. (Belfast, ME) Tidewater Adventures of Belfast announces special Exploritas programs this summer ideally suited for Maine residents. A wide variety of programs are offered between June 27 and September 26, 2010 and registration for limited enrollments is now underway. The Programs Include: The Magic of Maine Art: The Farnsworth Art Museum and Monhegan Island is a four-day study program celebrating Maine’s artistic heritage. Behind-the-scenes tours at the Farnsworth Art Museum, an in-depth look at the Wyeths and a day trip to Monhegan Island provide new insights of how a coastline and island have profoundly influenced American art. Capturing the Maine Coast with Digital Photography is a four-day digital camera workshop with nationally-renowned photographer Neal Parent of Belfast. Make the most of your digital camera through class instruction and on-location shooting. Learn how to take advantage of natural light and spur-of-the-moment photo ops. This program is for beginners and intermediates. Join Susan Tobey White of The High Street Studio & Gallery in Belfast for Watercolors on the Coast of Maine, a four-day plein air workshop. Receive one-on-one instruction in both classroom and plein air settings. Unleash your creative potential in this hands-on workshop for beginning and intermediate level painters. Exploritas is the new program name for Elderhostel, Inc., the pioneer in life-long learning vacations for seniors. Tidewater Adventures of Belfast is proud to offer these programs to Maine residents at the low “commuter” price. All meals (except for breakfast), entry fees and program transportation are included. The programs begin and end in Belfast.
