(Rockport, ME) On Saturday August 14th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, the Aldermere Farm Art Show and Sale will take place in the beautiful historic farmhouse located on the Aldermere Farm property located at 20 Russell Avenue in Rockport. The yearly event highlights how local artists capture the beauty of the place through original paintings and prints of the Belted Galloway cattle and different pastoral vistas of the Farm. This event benefits the Farm and the many programs it offers throughout the year for the community as well as local artists. The paintings and prints will be on display and for sale throughout the day Saturday. This year’s show will once again include Maine coastal scenes in the exhibit which will help highlight the forty years of great work that Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT) has put into preserving properties along the coast. The public is welcome to this free event and all are encouraged to come and see how local artists have captured these picturesque cows. Paintings range in price, style, and medium, so come to buy or just see the many Belties on display through the artist’s point of view. Belted Galloway and Aldermere Farm items are also for sale during the event. For more information about Aldermere Farm, please visit www.aldermere.org. MCHT is a statewide land conservation organization that maintains Aldermere as a working farm and educational center, helping people deepen their appreciation for land conservation and sustainable agriculture. |
