(Augusta, ME) The Maine Arts Commission (http://mainearts.maine.gov/) today announced the recipients of the 2012 Artists&amp;rsquo; Fellowship Awards &amp;ndash; one of the nation's highest awards for individual artists made by a state arts agency. The four recipients will each receive a $13,000 grant award. This year&amp;rsquo;s four Fellows are Allen Lowe from South Portland (performing/media arts), Claire Guyton from Lewiston (literary arts), Morrigan McCarthy from Portland (visual arts) and Richard Stanley from Southwest Harbor (traditional arts).</description>

(Belfast, ME) Bangor Metro features the fine art photography of Beth Anne Gordley in the August issue. Gordley&amp;rsquo;s dance photography was showcased four years ago in the publication. Melanie Brooks, editor of Bangor Metro, was perusing Beth Anne&amp;rsquo;s website and became intrigued by her various photographic genres. This lead her to contact Beth Anne, which in turn resulted in the photographer's second time as a featured artist in the Perspectives section of the magazine.

(Bridgton, ME) A collection of historic New England weathervanes will the exhibit on loan in 2011. Primarily copper molded animal forms from Massachusetts, the exhibit will be a great accompaniment to the museum's famous Bridgton vanemaker, James Lombard, who fashioned roosters with elegant tails from pine wood. The Museum has two examples of his on permanent display, and the local home owned by the Bridgton Historical Society, Narramissic, has another example.</description>
