(Thomaston, ME) On November 3, 4 and 5, Thomaston Place Auction Galleries will hold an auction with a wide variety of spectacular items. The sale will feature over 85 lots of ephemera, a large selection Japanese woodblock prints, several lots pocket watches, 6 major music boxes, paintings by old masters, jade, miniatures, bronzes and bronze busts and a large collection from Marvin Sadik, former curator of the National Gallery in Washington, D.C. and director of the Bowdoin College Museum of Art.

Oil on Panel - “Madonna and Child”, Circle of the Master of the Parrot, 16th century, Antwerp, Rijksmuseum wax seal on back, from 1930 sale of the Roerich Museum collection, SS: 18 1/2" x 13 3/4", OS: 25 1/2" x 21 ¼".

A Ming Dynasty Watercolor on Silk - Mountain Landscape with Villa Painted Scroll by Zhou Chen (1460-1535), in stippled gold molded frame, under glass, SS: 53 1/2" x 21 1/4", OS: 55 1/2" x 23 1/4".

An Ancient Bronze Statue - Greco-Roman Bronze Figure of Standing Champion Athlete, 3rd c BC, 29" tall, 10" wide, set onto wooden plinth.
