(Rockport, ME) Five CMCA Biennial artists will participate in the first of three artists' talks this fall at the Center for Contemporary Art in Rockport on Sunday, October 21st, at 3:00 pm. The artists for the first talk are Tom Butler and Kate Russo of Rockland, Kenny Cole of Monroe, Robin Mandel of Cushing, and Benjamin Potter of Belfast. The program is titled "Who Do You Love?" In each talk, artists will present three works of art, other than their own, that reveal the artistic loves of their lives and how those inspirations fuel their art making. The format is designed to be fast-paced but interactive, and will include time for audience questions and dialogue with each artist. Space is limited so reserve seats early by calling CMCA at 207-236-2875. There is no charge for the programs. The other artists' talks will be on November 4th and 18th. The 2012 CMCA Biennial Exhibition will be on view through December 2nd. The Center for Maine Contemporary Art is a nonprofit organization advancing contemporary art in Maine through exhibitions and educational programs. It is located at 162 Russell Avenue in Rockport. Exhibition galleries are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. For more information, please visit cmcanow.org. |
