BETH ANNE GORDLEY SMITH (Belfast, ME)

My work consists of a myriad of subjects, lighting and techniques. Often I am inspired by a mere glimpse of a stunning color, unique shape or an interesting object that compels me to reveal it to the viewer. Whether I am photographing a dancer in motion, a botanical still life, street scene or portrait, I strive to bring essence and sensitivity to the object d’art.

I have been photographing life for 31 years. My photographs have been exhibited in many places over the years including more recently at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art and The Maine Visual Artists Juried Exhibits.
