CORRIE ZACHARIAS (Falmouth, ME)

I have been photographing since I was 12 years old, and have developed many interests in the field of photography. I believe photography requires a sincere personal desire for lifelong learning and dedication to perfecting one’s skills, continuously stretching artistic and technical abilities. I make sure that making pictures plays a role in my everyday life, whether by actually working behind the camera, reading about photography, taking classes, or visiting galleries and museums, etc. I have found a new level of joy and authenticity that is expressed through my work and my daily life.

I have always been attracted to the little things we tend to pass by, such as the detail in a leaf or an animal’s eye, as well as abstract renderings of photographs. I want to share with my viewers these things that motivate and inspire me, and perhaps inspire others to look at their world with a more discerning eye.
