Webpages for Maine Artists Our web pages are perfectly suited for Maine multi-disciplinary artists and arts organizations who either:

don't yet have a website presence;
OR don't want to spend $1,500+ on a full-fledged website;
OR want to increase their online visibility by taking advantage of maineartscene.com's traffic & targeted audience.

NOTE: Your MAS website page can also be used to redirect traffic to an existing website.

We take care of everything so you don't have to.

HOW TO GET STARTED:

1. Please complete your payment transaction via Paypal or by check.

2. Send us an email(s) or mail us a CD with:

a) a short artist statement

b) artist/organization genre

c) your contact information - you can include links to your website, a blog as well as the website of an art gallery representing you.

d) 20 images (or more - add $5 per additional image).

Recommended size: height is 575 px at 72 dpi, width: no larger than 800 px at 72 dpi - if you don't know how to resize them, simply send us your images and we will do it for you.

e) If you would like to add a resume to your web page, simply e-mail us a PDF or a Word/text document. We will include a downloadable link on your web page.

1. Events, press releases and web pages MUST be relevant to artists, art organizations or art-related events located in the state of Maine.

2. Maine Art Scene reserves the right to edit any content submitted.

3. Any submission deemed by Maine Art Scene to contain derogatory, inappropriate or slanderous material will not be published and payment will not be refunded.

4. Each event or press release should be submitted individually.

5. Individual artists are limited to two press submissions per month. Not-For-Profit and For-Profit organizations are limited to 4 submissions per month. Maine Art Scene's editor reserves the right to grant exceptions to this policy.

6. If your press release meets Maine Art Scene's submission guidelines, it will be published under one of the sections on the home page.
PLEASE NOTE that Maine Art Scene's editor reserves the right to select the section that seems the most appropriate for your press release. In some cases, Maine Art Scene might create a new or special section.

7. PLEASE NOTE that only Maine Art Scene's editor can select press releases for the top rotating section called "HEADLINES". It is the role of the editor to try to achieve a balance of content, subject matter, relevance and geographical coverage.

8. On the home page, the 20 most recently submitted press releases will appear under each section. Any additional press releases will be accessible by clicking on that section's header.

9. Event-related press releases will be archived after the event date passes.

10. The Submitter warrants that all text, graphics, photos, designs, trademarks or other materials provided by The Submitter to Maine Art Scene, LLC. for the design of said website are owned or licensed to The Submitter for use therein, and may be used lawfully on the Internet. The Submitter will indemnify and hold Maine Art Scene, LLC. harmless from any costs, expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) or liability arising from any claim that such materials infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party or constitute an unlawful or illegal use or violate the rights of any third party.
