(Camden, ME) Mark your calendar for Sunday, March 5 at 7:00 pm when the Camden Opera House will once more resound with the joyful and soulful Celtic tunes of Lunasa. For this year’s tour renowned Irish singer Karan Casey joins them. Also returning is the popular meet and greet following the concert at Natalie’s at Camden Harbour Inn. This jovial time usually turns into quite the jamfest and gathering full of camaraderie.

This appearance marks all-star acoustic quintet Lunasa’s fifth at the Camden Opera House.

The joy, energy, wit and beauty of Lunasa’s sweet Irish music has resulted in more than a quarter of a million award- winning albums sold over the course of their career. Their latest album Lunasa with the RTE concert Orchestra, was released in 2013.

Karan Casey began her career in George’s bistro in Dublin, then went on to perform with the band Solas. She has since released six solo albums and even more collaborative ones. Karan has appeared with such folk legends as James Taylor and Liam Clancy; has received “Best Folk Album” and Best Folk Female accolades from Irish Music Magazine; has been nominated for the BBC Folk Awards and Danish Grammys; and has appeared at world renowned venues such as the Kennedy Centre, Grand Ole Opry, and on Garrison Keillor’s “A Prairie Home Companion”.

Reserved seat tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Tickets are available online at www.camdenoperahouse.com, by calling 207-536-5850, at the Camden Town Office Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (29 Elm Street in Camden) or at the door night the of the show, one hour before show time. Fireside Restaurant and Lounge of Camden will be on site offering their gourmet pizza, craft beer and fine wines for purchase to attendees, starting one hour prior to the performance and through intermission.
