Bay Chamber Concerts is a year-round organization presenting a mix-genre musical series in both the Camden and Rockport Opera Houses during the fall, winter and spring. In addition, Bay Chamber Concerts includes dance as part of its series, and also assists in the production of a lecture series in conjunction with the Camden Public Library. Since its inception, Bay Chamber Concerts has been committed to providing educational opportunities to students of all ages, and for more than forty years, has awarded annual prizes to young Maine musicians. Bay Chamber Concerts provides educational activities for adults and programs for school children are maintained throughout the year.

Haystack Mountain School of Crafts is an international craft school located on the Atlantic Ocean in Deer Isle, Maine. The school offers intensive studio-based workshops in a variety of craft media including clay, glass, metals, paper, blacksmithing, weaving, woodworking and more. Programs range from short workshops to two-week sessions and anyone may participate, from beginners to advanced professionals.

For more than 40 years, the Workshops have influenced thousands of people — many of them in life-changing ways. Some talk about the spectacular beauty of the environment, others praise the quality of the programs, the world-renowned faculty or the state-of-the-art equipment. Most often people reflect on the experience that happens when they get completely immersed in their art as part of a community that is passionate about creativity.

Participants in our programs learn by doing, by trying new things, by seeing what works and what doesn't.  By watching and learning from other participants.  And being inspired by the accomplished artists and professionals that come here to teach and to learn.
