Multi-Cultural Artist Maya la Maya Releases “Keep on Fighting” Brenda Bonneville, editor September 8, 2020 Artist Maya la Maya’s original song “Keep on Fighting” is inspired by empathetic and personal experiences with the struggle for human rights and fair treatment. The song speaks specifically to the brutal injustices suffered by BIPOC. It combines the moving essence of Bob Dylan’s protest poetics, the modern feel of Hamilton, and the energy of Lizzo. “Keep on Fighting” is an uplifting call to action for all of us to do better – to listen and to respectfully represent others and ourselves. All proceeds will be donated to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. About Maya la Maya Maya la Maya is a Boston-based multi-cultural artist and activist.
